A loss of a true visionary

Today Steve Jobs lost his battle to pancreatic cancer at the age of 56. For a man who none of my friends or family ever knew, he felt strangely close to me as his visions and imagination came to life and affected all of our lives. Steve Jobs was my dad's GREATEST idol, he always talked about him, watched every single one of his speeches at the Apple conferences, saved his Standard graduation speech on his iPhone...and tonight he reminded me the following two things that Steve Jobs said:

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do," he told the Stanford grads in 2005.

"If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on."

It is easy to deviate from our true passions and let everyday's noise get in the way. Life is too short to live somebody else's dreams!
